Voor die inschatting hangt heel veel af van de timing van approvals en hoe goed hun nieuw eigen beheer over de Amerikaanse markt evolueert. Maar mij lijkt 350 consoles en 220.000 cartridges zeker haalbaar (dit zijn de getallen waar ik meestal mee reken).
Ik denk wel dat ze verassend uit de hoek kunnen komen met de outlook aangezien ze toch al 2 maanden ver zitten tegen dat de cijfers en de outlook er zijn en ze al een beter idee hebben over de Amerikaanse markt en hoe snel ze daar vooruitgang boeken. Het zou me niet verbazen als hun nieuwe outlook een pak hoger ligt als onze schattingen en dichter bij die van Gijpie. Al zou ik liever een conservatieve schatting hebben die gevolgd wordt door een verhoging halverwege het jaar (ipv een verlaging zoals dit jaar).

Dus voor mij: 350consoles, 220.000cartridges

Bedankt Rarezot,

het ligt allemaal behoorlijk kort bij elkaar. En inderdaad, een positieve verrassing is niet uitgesloten. Ik geloof daar ook in, en wel om de volgende reden: de jaarlijkse cartridge-groei in 2019 was 31.58% (door de Fisher problemen) i.p.v. de vooropgestelde 60%. Nu denk ik dat management die 60% niet zomaar heeft vooropgesteld, ze zullen er wel redenen voor hebben gehad.
Een jaarlijkse groei van 60% komt neer op een groei van 26.5% op half-jaar basis (100*1.265*1.265=160)
In H2 behaalde Biocartis een groei op half-jaar basis van 41.99%!!! Dat is een groei van 101% op jaarbasis (100*1.4199*1.4199=201). Voor een stuk zal dit wel een inhaalbeweging geweest zijn, maar al bij al was de H2 groei spectaculair. Dit bewijst voor mij dat Bcart in staat is hoge groeicijfers te behalen als alles normaal verloopt.

I have been active on other fora and am shareholder since some time, average share privce for me 6,50€.

Accoring to him the share is worthless, the company is worthless, everything will collapse and het is repeating stupid comment on a daily base. Even while he doesn't have any shares.

I learned about BCART through GHDX, an American company. After the run up in GHDX shares, BCART appeared to be a reasonable way of investing in the worldwide expansion of OncoTypeDx. The more I read, the more I liked BCARTs modular design and potential for it to act as a platform for partners to launch their content (similar to Aps on the iphone). I also liked that the lower cost and speed of the tests.

BCART's partners basically cover all major world markets. The geographic distribution potential is part of what I found exciting. If BCART proves successful with Idylla launches into these geographies, you might soon be dealing with posters in many more languages. In an age when globalism is in decline, BCART is a bit of an anomaly. A small company with a differentiated product going up against much larger competitors to launch their product into world wide markets. A bit of a David and Goliath story. As shown in the attached link, MDx is a gigantic growing market, but it is also a crowded market (the attached table is only a partial listing). BCART continues to grow at a rate faster than the oncology MDx market as a whole and that is encouraging. However, this market may very well unfold over years if not decades. It is not for investors that do not have the stomach for volatility, and the attention span for a long slog.

I am trying to fine-tune my Bcart financial model. I would like to hear your realistic estimate of console and cartridge sale growth for the coming 4 years (either percentage wise or in absolute numbers on a yearly basis). If you believe there are still too many variables for giving precise numbers, then please give a realistic bandwidth. I have my own opinion, but I would like to cross-check. Please also give (if possible) your motivation for your numbers.

There are a lot of moving parts and a lot of potential factors that could generate an uptick in console placements and cartridge sales.

The low end of my revenue growth range is 20% for the next 2 years. This assumes that Idylla continues to grow in the EU at the current rate and that US and Japan continue for the next year or two in a RUO mode. China does not materialize into a significant market but the rest of world grows at around 20%. The royalty on non-proprietary content acts as a bit of a drag on growth but helps place additional console that help w sales of other assays. My weighing of the likelihood of this scenario is 25%.

My median estimate of the average revenue growth is 32%. This estimate assumes moderate growth in all geographies and assumes that significant content shift from RUO to diagnostic approval in the US later this year and Japan early next year. It assumes successful launch of Oncotype DX Breast followed by the prostate test. The initial CDx partnerships bear fruit and other CDx agreements emerge. Again the growth is very lumpy with half year periods of 80% growth as major geographies come on line and initiate sales and low periods of 25% growth as misfires with partners and regulators occur. This scenario assumes that BCART is able to leverage large sales forces of partners to place additional consoles and sell cartridges. My weighing of the probability of this scenario is 50%

The high end averages revenue growth of 50% is extremely lumpy from one year to the next. This scenario assumes that the geographic expansion into Japan and China proceed well and that Idylla is able to successfully win diagnostic use approval in the major markets of the US and Asia starting late this year and into next. My market weighing of this probability is 20%

The very high case is at least 80% growth and assumes the geographic and product successes of the prior case and assumes that competitors are unable to place a low cost competing MDx system into the POC markets.. This scenario assumes that BCART starts accelerating the time frame for introducing new content. This occurs from a combination of factors (regulator acceptance, placing additional staff to help speed R&D The probability of this scenario is 5%.

As you know I like the comparison to Cepheid that compounded rev growth at about 20% a year for a decade. I rationalize that BCART can eclipse that type of rate since there are fewer IVD PCR competitors in oncology than in infectious disease. This assumes that Idylla develops a synergistic relationship with NGS testing (recovering samples that fail & filling smaller market niches). It also assumes considerable leveraging of the partner sales force.

Obviously there are a lot of moving parts and I may deny existence of this WAG in the future.

If the Immunexpress PR is to be believed we should see EU marking of Septicyte in the 1st quarter. This could happen before or after March 5. Those of you in the EU know of any signs that the review process is proceeding well? With drugs there is usually a CHMP determination before approval. With MDx I'm unaware of any committee reviews. The correspondences between the reviewer and the applicant seem to be pretty confidential.

Hey Nat,

Ik hoop inderdaad ook dat mijn voorspellingen uitkomen (of dat het beter is). En natuurlijk kan ik er flagrant naast zitten, maar je moet je ergens op kunnen baseren eh... Dus ik doe mijn best met de gegevens die ik heb gekregen en methoden die vroeger voor me werkten. That's all I can do ;)

Ik doe liever schattingen gebaseerd op onderzoek om zo tot een koersprijs te komen die me geschikt lijkt. Natuurlijk moet je voor de koersprijs niet alleen naar toekomstige verkoop kijken maar ook naar wat het bedrijf bezit aan gebouwen, materiaal, productiemachines, cash, kennis, etc.
Ik vind dat persoonlijk een betere methode dan te geloven op de koersdoelen van andere analisten. Dan besef ik tenminste de risico's die ik aanga en kan ik alleen mezelf de schuld geven als het fout gaat. Dit helpt me ook met onrustige koersen zoals hier en indien er nieuws komt herreken ik terug mijn koersdoel en pas ik, indien nodig, mijn positie aan. Geen enkele methode is perfect en niemand heeft altijd winst, dit is gewoon voor mij de betere manier. :)
