Wel we zullen zien. is nog vroeg. Verwacht zelf gezien het succes van de plaatsing dat we gewoon doorstijgen richting 42 of meer Euro eind van de week.Voor mijzelf zie ik morgenochtend vroeg wel wat er is gebeurd. Nu alleen even de opening.

totaal in kas 648 mio

Cashburn 120 mio maar wat onverwachte opbrengsten zoals warrents etc zal dit naar 100 mio brengen.
31-12-2015 548 mio in kas.

Volgens mij is dat ruim 14 euro per aandeel, dat legt nogal een bodem onder de koers.
Bodem van zekerheid en potentie plus mogelijkheden.
weinig bio's die dit hebben.

IPO is 275 miljoen $, niet €. Ook is de licentie nog niet zeker, maar je maakt een terecht punt. En dit is nog zonder die R&D teruggave van de Belgische/Franse overheden. Uitstekende positionering als biotech!

The $ price setting is interesting. Slightly higher than anticipated but with the increase in the number of shares that is pretty good. Obviously the €/$ played a part too.

I am curious to see what today's trading will bring in the US.
This will start influencing the price over here (with the €/$ to be taken into account too from now on)

But as I have always written is what have these institutionals been told as to the share price potential? We saw the video clip of Onno and his team presentation.
THere are further presentations in June.

And now I am also awaiting the market analysts take on all this. Should be interesting reading.

Er worden hier ook nog eens een zooi aandelen de markt opgegooid , Amerikanen gaan op eigen markt kopen ( als ze willen kopen ) ; ik voorzie eerder een flinke terugval dan een stijging

Flink bedrag opgehaald, compliment aan Galapagos. Volgens twitter slaan ze vanmiddag de openingsbel op Nasdaq.

Mechelen, Belgium; 14 May 2015 - Galapagos NV (GLPG.NX) announced today the pricing of its global offering totaling $275 million gross proceeds of 6,550,000 new ordinary shares, consisting of 4,996,522 American Depositary Shares ("ADSs") at $42.05 per ADS, and 1,533,478 ordinary shares at a price of €37.00 per share, both before underwriting discounts. These shares were placed in a concurrent public offering in the US and private placement in Europe (together the "global offering"). The price per ADS was based on €37.00 per ordinary share at an exchange rate of $1.1365 per Euro.
In addition, Galapagos has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 749,478 new ordinary shares in the form of ADSs and an option to purchase up to an additional 233,021 new ordinary shares, representing 15% of the ordinary shares and ADSs placed in the global offering. This option can be exercised during the 30 day period commencing 14 May2015.
The closings of the ADS offering and the concurrent private placement are conditioned on each other and are expected to occur on 19 May 2015, subject to customary closing conditions.
Each of the ADSs offered represents the right to receive one ordinary share.
Galapagos` ordinary shares are currently listed on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Brussels under the symbol "GLPG." The ADSs are expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market on 14 May 2015 under the symbol "GLPG."
Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Cowen and Company are acting as joint book-running managers, and Nomura and Bryan, Garnier & Co. are acting as co-managers, for the global offering. Morgan Stanley is acting as stabilization agent on behalf of the underwriters.

Zoals ik het heb begrepen gaat het bij vaststelling van de ipo koers er om dat de prijs hoog genoeg is om het geld binnen te halen wat het bedrijf wil en laag genoeg om goed verhandelbaar te zijn

ze zitten volgens mij in beide opzichten dus beter dan verwacht
