Credit Suisse Group (CS) pumped $30 million into Tulip, bringing total investment in the company to around $70 million. Outdoor advertising giant JCDecaux S.A. was an earlier investor in Tulip. Tulip is on a steady growth path, and recently indicated a possible Nasdaq IPO in the second half of 2007. From my observations, it looks like they are having no trouble selling ads. The company's "light wall" on the Citigroup building in Pudong measures nearly 65,000 square feet, brightening the night for tourists on Shanghai's Bund... and perhaps someday for investors.
