Alexandria Releases NI 43-101 Compliant Resource Estimate for Orenada Gold Deposit, Val d'Or

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 16, 2009) - Alexandria Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:AZX - News; FRANKFURT:A9D - News) reported today that it has released its first resource estimate at its 100%-owned Orenada property in Bourlamaque Township, Val d'Or, Quebec. The mineral resource estimates, which are National Instrument ("NI") 43-101 compliant, were completed by independent Qualified Persons at A. S. Horvath Engineering Inc. in Ottawa and at Tech2Mine Inc. in Val d'Or, and verified by Geologica Groupe-Conseil Inc., an independent geological consulting firm based in Val d'Or.

Measured, Indicated and Inferred Resources have been identified in two principal near-surface zones, Orenada 4 and, located 600 m east along the Cadillac Break, Orenada 2. Highlights of these results are:

- At a 1.0 g/t Au cut-off, from surface to 250 m, capped at 31.5 g/t, total Measured and Indicated Resources at Orenada 4 and 2 are 4,598,334 tonnes grading 1.82 g/t Au, for 268,528 ounces Au.

- Also at a 1.0 g/t Au cut-off, from surface to 250 m, Inferred Resources are 2,478,674 tonnes grading 1.56 g/t Au, for 124,248 ounces Au.

Because the deposit is open along strike and at depth, Geologica recommends a follow-up drilling programme of 15,000 m in an effort to up-grade existing resources and build further resources.

Kalahari Resources Receives Conditional Approval on Lamaque Gold Transaction
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 10, 2009) - Kalahari Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KLA) (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has received conditional approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to the proposed Lamaque transaction (announced October 30, 2009), subject to the receipt of shareholder approval from Golden Pond Resources Ltd. Northern Star, Canada's next gold producer

Northern Star Mining of Val d'Or, QC, will join the ranks of Canadian gold producers in the first week of February, when for the first time it pours a doré bar at its Beacon gold mill. The ore comes from the company's Malartic-Midway underground project.

The Malartic-Midway project includes two former mines (Malartic Goldfields No.1 and No.2) that produced 1.95 million oz of gold from 1939 to 1965. Previous operations were conducted to a depth of 915 metres, but Northern Star has drilled gold mineralization to a depth of 1,600 metres where it encountered material grading 9.41 g/t Au over 21 metres.

Northern Star has been investigating the Malartic-Midway property for a decade. In 2006 the company acquired the 900-t/d Beacon mill to process ore from the Malartic-Midway mine.

As with all mining developments, patience (and a good metal price) is a virtue.

TORONTO — Alexis Minerals has completed the acquisition of Garson Gold, almost doubling its gold resources thanks largely to Garson's New Britannia project in Manitoba and its McMillan property in Ontario. Alexis now counts more than 865,000 oz of contained gold in measured and indicated resources and 479,000 oz in inferred resources.

Alexis intends to complete a preliminary economic assessment of the New Britannia project next month. The company would like to become a mid-tier gold producer in 2011. It already operates the Lac Herbin and Lac Pelletier gold mines in Quebec.

The analytical results received are from the second surface diamond drill hole RS-04-09 and RS-05-09 located respectively 6057mE and 2320mN (local grid) with azimuth at 325 degrees North and a 45 degree dip (local grid coordinates) and 6183mE and 2679mN with azimuth at 326.7 degrees North and a 545 degree dip. The objective of the drill hole was designed to intercept the Boucher zone located to the west of the property. Many mineralised structures were intercepted in the diamond drill hole. The samples from the mineralised quartz veins returned grades of 6.94 g/t Au over 0.6m and 5.63 g/t Au over 1.16m.
