Egos are inflamed, tempers flaring. At a March 6 Cabinet meeting, Musk reportedly berated Rubio for not firing anybody, according to the New York Times, while implying that Rubio is a lightweight. Rubio said Musk was being untruthful and suggested that Musk is the phony showboater. Musk then played his trump card, reminding the room that he runs three companies worth billions of dollars apiece, as if that is all the qualification he needs to override Cabinet secretaries and cull the federal workforce.

Als je dacht, dat januari slecht was mbt de verkoopcijfers van Tesla, dan was februari een eye-opener.

Ik kan me niet voorstellen, dat een bedrijf het lang vol houdt, als je zo weinig gaat verkopen.

Dus heel binnenkort in dit theater: massa-ontslagen bij Tesla, en wellicht ook nog sluiting van productielocaties.

Krijg mogelijk vandaag de kans om redelijk goedkoop weer wat shortspeelgoed op te pakken.

Zitten kapitale belangen en ook die-hard Tesla fans achter en die gaan
koopjesjagen (denken ze?).

Amsterdam - Vooral vanwege vrees dat de politieke fratsen van ceo Elon Musk de autoverkopen ernstig zullen blijven schaden, is de beurskoers van Tesla in de afgelopen drie maanden gehalveerd. Dat heeft zijn weerslag op de populariteit van de fabrikant van elektrische auto’s onder Nederlandse particuliere beleggers, zo blijkt uit een rondgang onder brokers.

Tesla ziet zich afgelopen paar maanden geconfronteerd met een stevige terugval van de verkoop van zijn auto’s. Veel Europeanen die duurzaamheid hoog in het vaandel hebben staan, bedenken zich tegenwoordig wel twee keer alvorens een Tesla te kopen na zijn liefdebetuiging aan extreemrechtse partijen en het recente gebaar van Musk dat verdacht veel leek op een Hitlergroet. Bij Amerikanen speelt zijn omstreden uitvoering van het snoeien in het ambtenarenapparaat eveneens een rol. Tesla heeft ook last van de toegenomen concurrentie van met name Chinese elektrische auto’s.

Gelukkig heeft het bedrijf ook andere pijlen op de boog waaronder autonoom rijden en robotics. Als Musk zich weet te herpakken als CEO van het bedrijf staat de koers binnen een paar weken weer 300+. Het blijft een supervolatiel aandeel.

Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) suffered its steepest drop in five years, slashing 15.43 percent on Monday to close at $222.15 apiece, as investors sold off positions to mitigate risks from recession fears and uncertainty over President Donald Trump’s tariff plans.

With higher tariffs now in place for Canada and Mexico, which are two of the key markets of automakers including Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA), analysts turned even more cautious over the potential impact of the new levied taxes on production, sales, and retail prices.

Monday’s decline marked the third consecutive day of sell-off for the company, as well as its seventh straight week of losses from its highest price of $479.86 on December 17.

The firm's current stock price now represents a 53.7-percent cut, or more than $800 billion in market capitalization.

Asked how Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) founder Elon Musk was juggling his business and role as chief of the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk said in an interview with Fox Business that he was doing so “with great difficulty.”
