~TomTom Voice Maps now covers 76 countries with 46 unique languages~
San Diego, 17 July 2014 – TomTom (TOM2) has today announced the addition of four new languages to its Voice Maps product: Bulgarian, Colombian Spanish, Hebrew and Northern African Arabic.
TomTom Voice Maps enable its customers to develop a range of navigation and location based services featuring high quality turn-by-turn driving directions for PNDs, mobile applications, and in-dash systems to make driving safer.
The quality of Voice Maps speech guidance is significantly better than standard computer generated directions. When combined with text-to-speech technology and speech recognition, TomTom Voice Maps delivers a superior spoken navigation experience.
“The addition of Bulgarian, Colombian Spanish, Hebrew, and North African Arabic to our TomTom Voice Maps coverage means our customers can now create superior navigation solutions enabling more drivers to benefit from easy to understand voice navigation in their native language,” said Charles Cautley, Managing Director of TomTom Maps.
