Bio John Mappin
John Mappin is a private businessman.
John with his wife Irina, alongside good friends in Washington DC was one of the primary champions of the Presidential Trillion Tree Global reforestation initiative that was announced in Davos, Switzerland on 21st January 2020.
John wanted to design an instrument that would both be of the people and for the people, that would help to accelerate the reforestation of earth and that would allow the optimum leverage of private and institutional capital to augment that purpose.
In the summer of 1985, John first glimpsed the potential of creating a financial instrument to assist global reforestation and the restoration of our woodlands. Dutch Green Business Group NV represents the potential of that idea.
