Penny Stock Pick - DVW
The penny stock we have noticed a lot of movement recently is the DSL and Voice-Over-IP service provider Covad Communication(DVW). The stock on Friday, January 6 got new coverage from Needham & Co. with a Hold recommendation. Although not a positive or negative rating, at least new analyst coverage should make this stock an intereting one to look at.

Looking at the 52 week technical chart, the stok has been on a continuous down trend but has recently been on a rally with MACD and KD both shown bullish sign. If the stock can continue go upward and break thru the pressure around $1.2 per share we should expect more positive movement of the stock. However one possible negative factor is that ROC indicator has shown the stock has been overbought.

Looking at the insiders, although we see employee selling the stock, major top executives such as CEO, CFO ,COO and Executive Vice President have all purchased the stock at the end of 2005. This should indates that the management team are optimistic about the future of the company.

From the financial statements, we are seeing increase on revenue and cash for the past three years as well as decrease in net loss. We haven't seen the annual report of 2005 so the last quarter of 2005 should determine if the upward trend can continue or not.

ze zullen wel iets te vertellen hebben en dat kan je via je computer live meemaken. hoeft niet iets spectaculairs te zijn hoor. t zet t bedrijf even in de schijnwerpers, waarschijnlijk vertelt t over nieuwe plannen/producten.

wereldschokkend nieuws dient gemeld te worden via een persbericht.

we hebben dit kwartaal nog te goed: de afwikkeling van de overname van next-web,is iets vertraagd door administrative zaken bij de staat californie.

de cijfers, en t inlossen van de belofte , kw. 2 ebitda positief, en kasstroom positief voor einde jaar.

omzetversnelling voor dit jaar.

hallo LD, ze zullen niet te mooie zaken bekend maken , want nogmaals dat moet via een persbericht, maar het is wel peptalk,

en ik moet ook zeggen, ik was ook blij verrast met deze stijging naar 1.09, daar ik weer heb bijgekocht op 1.01 vandaag, ook met t oog op oa morgen , en de gang van zaken dit jaar.

zit nu op de helft van voor t advies van de abnamro, en weet je , ik had bijna vandaag mijn hele positie willen terugkopen...................

onder t mom van , die 33 centen die ik nu meer betaal zal niet veel uitmaken uiteindelijk.

uiteindelijk is het wel een groot drama , zoals ik hier ben overgehaald te verkopen, ik nb die alles zo goed en overdacht probeer te beredeneren.

een pikwarte bladzijde in mijn beleggingcarriere,
die mij heel veel geld heeft gekost.

Ja lekker die ABN.
Ik ben er bij weg gegaan, al een paar jaar geleden. Ook door een paar fouten van de bank. Ik had het echt helemaal gehad met ze. Bij Alex zijn er veel meer mogelijkheden. Bovendien heb je je geld meteen bijgeschreven als je iets verkocht hebt. Ook de kosten zijn veel minder. Veel voordelen dus.

Hoe laat is die toespraak van Covad?

zat eraan te komen LD, en ik verwacht nog veel meer. binnenkort de overname van next-web, dat is definitief , maar laat nog even op zich wachten , vanwege de administratie in california.

next-web heeft ondertussen ook weer een overname gepleegd, de afspraak tussen covad en nextweb ligt aan de onderkant op 89 ct, dus daar hoeven we geen problemen te verwachten, als we kijken naar de vorige overname , daar ontstond een explosieve groei na overname,

dus ik ga uit van 20 miljoen extra omzet dit jaar alleen al voor nextweb bijdrage, is 5% omzetgroei, maar ik ben bescheiden.

al de andere contracten gesloten , valt moeilijk in te schatten , maar goodwill is voorzover max. afgeschreven in vorig jaar , vandaar het hoge nettoverlies in Q4 vorig jaar.

de focus ligt op dit jaar en je zult zien ,ook de winstontwikkeling, ga uit van een koers , en we weten hoe t kan gaan met dit fonds , van 2.5 tot 5 dollar dit jaar. heb geduld, graag tot horens.

Using new Covad tech, but only in four markets

Earthlink intends to offer a number of DSL and VoIP bundles to customers in San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Dallas starting next week. Users can get 1.5Mbps DSL with 500 minute VoIP for $49.95 a month; a second tier that adds unlimited local and long-distance calling for $64.95 a month; and one that offers 8Mbps (if you're close enough) ADSL2+ with unlimited VoIP for $69.95.

The VoIP service will be Covad's line-powered voice, which needs no consumer side hardware, works through every jack in the home, and receives its power from the jack just like regular phone service. The service functions much like typical POTS in that regard until it hits Covad's new Nokia DSLAMs, with traffic routed over Covad's nationwide UNE-L network, avoiding bell infrastructure.

Ook AOL kondigde aan om over te gaan op breedband.

AOL has millions of dial-ups that will be converted

AOL today announced that it will soon expand its broadband network coast-to-coast in partnership with leading providers including BellSouth, Time Warner Cable and Verizon, as well as other major DSL suppliers. Consumers in these markets, which reach a majority of AOL members, will be able to access the AOL service with a reliable high-speed connection for as low as $25.90. In BellSouth's territory, AOL High Speed will be offered at $29.90.
AOL will engage in aggressive marketing for the new AOL(R) High Speed offering, which will let AOL members access the service's leading security features and exclusive content on a true high-speed DSL Internet or cable connection at a competitive price. De samenwerking met Verizon en Bellsouth, betekent dat AOL, voor wat betreft de gebieden die Verizon en Bellsouth niet bestrijken, zeer waarschijnlijk gebruik gaat maken van Covad’s netwerk. Want daartoe heeft Verizon immers een samenwerking met Covad lopen.

In mijn eerdere stukken in deze draad had ik al gewezen op het belang dat Earthlink en AOL hebben bij het netwerk van Covad. Dat komt dus nu helemaal uit.

Dan was er deze week ook nog een key note speech van CEO Hofmann bij een door Internet Telephony georganiseerde conferentie.
