January 4, 2010 – Vancouver, British Columbia – Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: HPY, or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that further to the press release dated November 12, 2009, it has received final results from its 2009 drill program on the 100% owned Rateria property. The Rateria property adjoins Teck Resources Ltd.’s Highland Valley Copper property in south central British Columbia, and is approximately 10 kilometres southeast of the mine concentrator. The Highland Valley Copper mine is Canada’s largest copper producer and is currently mining material grading approximately 0.32 percent copper.

Zone 2

Three drill holes in Zone 2 were successful in confirming continuity and expanding its length to over 450 metres. Drill hole R09-07 returned 48.0 metres containing 0.30 percent copper and 0.07 g/t (grams per tonne) gold. R09-06 results include 18.5 metres grading 0.20 percent copper and 0.048 percent molybdenum. This interval is notable for its relatively higher molybdenum grade that is similar to the Highmont deposits currently in production approximately 6.5 kilometres to the northwest. Overall, drilling results from 2008 and 2009 suggest Zone 2 contains wide near-surface low grade copper with significant intervals of potentially economic grade. Intervals between 3.0 and 27.0 metres contain greater than one percent copper over the 450 metres along with positive molybdenum, silver and gold values. Drilling, geological and geophysical information suggest Zone 2 can be expanded well beyond the area drilled to date.

Underworld Adds Fourth Drill Rig for 30,000 Meter Drill Program to Expand White Gold Discovery
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2010) - Underworld Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:UW) is pleased to announce the mobilization for the 2010 exploration program to the White Gold property. The company expects an early start to drilling this season.

Underworld is planning a minimum of 30,000 meters of diamond drilling during 2010 utilizing four drill rigs. The primary objective of the program is to expand the Golden Saddle Deposit, 1,004,570 oz. Au averaging 3.2 g/t Au in an indicated category, with an additional 407,413 oz Au averaging 2.5 g/t Au of additional inferred resources (see NR UW 2010 #1). Kinross Gold Corporation and Underworld Resources Inc. announced that they have entered into a letter agreement whereby Kinross would offer to acquire 100% of the outstanding common shares of Underworld by way of a friendly take over bid, other than the 8.5% of the Common Shares already owned by Kinross. Kinross Succeeds in Bid to Acquire Underworld Resources
Kinross Now Owns 81.6% of Outstanding Shares
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 26, 2010) - Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX:K)(NYSE:KGC) announced today it has been successful in its bid to acquire Underworld Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:UW) under its previously announced offer. A total of 38,744,878 common shares of Underworld were validly deposited at the expiry time of the offer. Kinross now owns a total of 42,663,059 common shares of Underworld. At the time of the close of the offer, this represented approximately 81.6% of Underworld's issued and outstanding common shares on a fully-diluted basis. However, following completion of the exchange of the outstanding Underworld employee stock options for replacement Kinross stock options in the manner contemplated by the terms of the Kinross offer, a process that is expected to be completed shortly, this will represent approximately 87.0% of the issued and outstanding common shares on a fully-diluted basis.
