US stocks are called to open higher Wednesday, as markets steady following last week's selloff, said David Morrison at GFT. Still, caution remains, said Morrison, with traders wary of holding short stock index positions ahead of ECB meeting. "While an additional LTRO [Long-term Refinancing Operation] looks unlikely, the ECB could cut its minimum bid rate from its current 1% level, and/or restart its Securities Markets Program and buy Spanish and Italian government bonds in the secondary market," he said. Of course, if the ECB fails to take any action, then the sellers will return, Morrison added.
