Imtech UK has been appointed by news giant, News UK, to manage the technical services at its brand new offices in central London.
The three year contract will see Imtech maintaining the 17 storey headquarters. News UK publishes The Times and The Sun newspapers.
Up-to-the-minute view of service operations
After leading its industry in client management systems when it introduced DNA nine years ago, this year the company launched its brand new DNA app, which is available from the Apple store and which allows its clients a completely transparent, up-to-the-minute view of its service operations.
Located in London Bridge and overlooking the famous Shard, News UK’s new base will be a hub of media activity as all of the company’s staff are brought together in the same office for the first time. The transition from the company’s current head office in Wapping has already taken place with the official opening a few weeks ago by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson and Rupert Murdoch. Imtech will be helping to move in Dow Jones and HarperCollins, subsidiaries of News Corp, between now and January 2015.
Imtech’s Operations Director, David Webb, explains: “Now the transition is in full flow, we have increased the team so that engineers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
The brand-new News UK building forms part of our prestigious London portfolio that also includes The Houses of Parliament, British Film Institute and Selfridges Oxford Street.
the three year contract has an option to extend for a further two years
