Simpel gesteld komt het er op neer dat men met het toedienen van meer C1-INH (Ruc) aan Covid19-patiënten - bij wie dit niveau toch al verhoogd is - voorzichtig moet zijn en dat dit zelfs nadelige effecten kan hebben.
Mogelijk is dit een verklaring voor het gegeven dat er zo weinig merkbare geestdrift is in de medisch/farmaceutische wereld voor Ruc bij Covid19.
