CRXL eindigt in de USA op $ 18,20
( € 14,55).Stijging van ruim 2,54 % .Wat is nu belangrijker voor de AMX -draaien op eigen kracht of de stijging-koers in de USA ??? Wie het weet mag het zeggen.

Een (1)rot appeltje wordt eruit gegooid uit de wagonlading met prachtappels en het hele leger van beleggend NL gooit zijn aandelen Crucell voor spotprijsjes op de markt, voor de LEEUWEN dus, tjonge tjonge wat hebben die beleggende schijtlaarzen met zn allen toch veel inzicht...geef mij dan maar de Ami's!
Wel leuk voor al die beleggers die het hoofd koel houden en hun zaakjes kennen die nu alsnog goedkoop kunnen instappen.. morgen gaat - na deze rangeerpartij - de locomotief weer rijden, maar dan de andere kant op, mind my words..

Ik weet niet of hij gelijk krijgt Palmerston, maar het zou wel moeten.
In het laatste kwartier even $ 17.83 aangetikt met een slotkoers van $ 18.20.
Dit lokt morgenochtend weer een paar kopers in de markt, maar of het stand houdt............
Technisch lijkt het me nog niet aanlokkelijk. Er zijn volgens mij steeds weer nieuwe angsthazen, die verkopen.

Ik vind met name de tekst, waarop ik reageerde , zo zwak dat ik mij niet aan de indruk kon onttrekken dat Kees volstrekt incapabel is waar het gaat om de beoordeling van een bedrijf als Crucell. Je kunt me wat met dat soort piemelaars.
In het algemeen is het overigens zo dat ik, sinds ik beleg en beleggingsinfo tot mij neem, nog nooit zoveel baarlijke nonsens heb gelezen van analisten en beleggers en anderen die denken dat ze zich er zonodig mee moeten bemoeien. Het is vreselijk wat een rotzooi en onbetrouwbare, gekleurde en misleidende info er door allerlei gajes wordt verstrekt. Niemand schaamt zich er kennelijk voor zichzelf te blameren, waarschijnlijk denkend dat de lezers van de rotzooi die ze produceren wel net zo stom zullen zijn als zijzelf.

Ik ben het hiermee eens. Het feit dat een of andere Kees wel eens de waarheid voorspeld heeft zegt m.i. niet zo veel. Zeker de onderhavige uitspraak dat er ooit een fanatieke (aandeel) reactie is geweest op een positief bericht omtrent een mogelijke positieve uitkomst van een product, spreekt boekdelen, want een dergelijke reactie moet ik nog meemaken ...

De argumentatie van Kees is dus kul en meer hoeft daar m.i. niet over gezegd te worden ....

Nog even als toevoeging, het feit dat uberhaupt een of andere nitwit serieus genoeg genomen wordt om op een of andere site herhaald te worden, zegt m.i. veel meer over de "volgers" van de mitwit dan de intelligentie van de nitwit zelf.

Het feit dat een of andere nitwit (M.v.d.Geest) een bepaalde kijk heeft op de werkelijkheid, is tot daar aan toe, maar dat er nog lagere nitwits zijn die zijn woorden serieus genoeg vinden om herhaald te worden vind ik dermate stompzinnig dat ik er eigenlijk geen woorden over vuil wil maken ...

Her spijt me zeer, maar wat jullie hier allemaal schrijven is je reinste flauwekul! We hebben het hier over Kees de Kort, wiens uitspraken inderdaad vaak erg geprononceerd zijn maar hij is geen meeloper van wie dan ook en heeft bepaald verstand van beleggen! Ik kan heel wat z.g. analisten noemen, die bij het grote publiek goed in de pul vallen, maar er met hun voorspellingen constant naast zitten.

Ach Procambarus, maak je niet dik, je loopt anders het risico dat je uit je rivier wordt gehaald en naar Frankrijk wordt overgebracht. De inboorlingen hier zijn dol op kreeftensoep en zijn weinig kieskeurig als het om de kwaliteit van de kreeft gaat.

Despite spectacular recent progress, immunization has not reached its full potential. At least 2 million people in all age groups die every year from diseases preventable by vaccines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Another 2.1 million people die each year of diseases for which vaccines are expected soon (rotavirus, pneumococcus and meningococcus). Because global immunization coverage has not yet reached the goal of 90% nationally and 80% within each district, 27 million infants were not immunized1 in 2004, putting them at risk for life-threatening illnesses.

Immunization should be advanced mainly because of health, ethical and economic reasons. All people must benefit from vaccines, including newly developed vaccines. A 2005 Harvard study found "powerful new sources of economic returns from immunization."2 Two leading causes of cancer deaths in adulthood (liver and cervical cancers) can now be prevented by vaccines against hepatitis B and human papillomavirus infections. Delivery of immunization services provides an excellent conduit for delivering other life-saving health interventions, such as those against malaria, malnutrition and intestinal worms, and strengthening health systems.

The opportunities / the solutions

Excellent track record: vaccination has been one of most successful and cost-effective public health interventions in recent history with the eradication of smallpox, the reduction in the global incidence of polio by 99% since 1988 and dramatic decreases in other illnesses and deaths. Worldwide vaccination coverage in 1980 was very low (20%), but now stands at 78%.1
Measurable results at a relatively low cost: in just six years (1999–2004) measles deaths were cut by 48% globally and by 60% in Africa. It costs less than US$ 1 to immunize a child against measles.
Potential to save millions more lives: immunization currently averts more than 2 million deaths annually and is essential to reaching the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) on reducing child mortality. With sustained and appropriate efforts backed by financial support, by 2015 immunization could be preventing 4–5 million deaths a year.
Unprecedented investments: the international community has established an effective financial mechanism, through the GAVI Alliance, for helping the poorest countries improve their immunization systems and introduce new vaccines.
The challenges

Filling current funding gaps and ensuring sustainable long-term financing, in addition to political commitment from the G8 will facilitate immunization's contribution to reaching the MDG on reducing child mortality.

The costs

Ten million additional lives could be saved through child and maternal immunization from 2006–2015 at an average annual cost of US$ 1 billion.
US$ 35 billion is needed to achieve the goal of saving 10 million additional lives over the next decade in the 72 poorest countries. There is currently a US$ 10–15 billion shortfall.
WHO's role

WHO and UNICEF have produced a 10-year immunization framework: the Global Immunization Vision and Strategy (GIVS), 2006–2015. GIVS aims to expand the benefits of immunization to all people so that immunization contributes to MDGs, global security and cancer prevention. WHO is providing technical support to countries ― assisting with the design, financing and implementation of strengthened sustainable national immunization programmes.

By 2015, more than 70 million children in the world’s poorest countries will be protected each year against 14 major childhood diseases

According to global immunization experts, ten million additional lives could be saved through child and maternal immunization between 2006-2015 at an average annual cost of US$ 1 billion, according to a new study by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF. The estimated US$ 2.5 billion current annual spending on immunization in the poorest countries would need to increase to US$ 3.5 billion by 2010 and US$ 4 billion by 2015 to reach this goal.

The study presented today at the GAVI Partners' Meeting, taking place in New Delhi from 7-9 December, covers the potential impact that immunization can have over the next decade and outlines the financing requirements needed to make this a reality in developing countries.

"Immunization is one of the best values for public health investment today: adequate resources and the right strategies lead to concrete results. We have achieved much progress already through immunization, but much more can and should be done. WHO, through GAVI and with partners, such as UNICEF, is looking to achieve a massive impact in lives saved through immunization over the next decade," said Dr LEE Jong-wook, Director-General, WHO.

The new study follows on the WHO/UNICEF Global Immunization Vision and Strategy, adopted this spring. The document lays out a number of goals such as raising immunization coverage levels to 90%, and reducing vaccine-preventable illness and deaths by two-thirds by 2015. It provides strategies that countries and global immunization partners may use to reach such goals.

If countries achieve these goals, by 2015, more than 70 million children who live in the world’s poorest countries will receive each year life-saving vaccines against the following diseases: tuberculosis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, rubella, yellow fever, haemophilus influenzae type B, hepatitis B, polio, rotavirus, pneumococcus, meningococcus, and Japanese encephalitis.

Immunization is essential to achieve the Millennium Development Goals of substantially reducing the child and maternal mortality rates.

The study examined the cost, financing and impact of immunization programmes in the 72 poorest countries, which have a Gross National Income of less than US$ 1000 per year 1. The estimated total price tag for immunization activities in 2006-2015 in these countries is US$ 35 billion.

One third of the US $35 billion will be spent on vaccines. The total amount spent on vaccines will rise from about US$ 350 million in 2005 to nearly US$ 1.5 billion per year by 2015, as coverage is expanded with underused vaccines 2, and new vaccines 3 are introduced. The remainder will be spent on immunization delivery systems including shared costs that strengthen the overall health system to improve immunization coverage in the 72 GAVI supported countries. The objective is to reach 90% coverage by 2015 from less than 70% today. US$ 2.2 billion will go towards immunization campaigns, such as those for polio, measles and tetanus.

"Immunization is critical in reducing overall child deaths. This new study shows that we can achieve a significant reduction in deaths due to vaccine-preventable diseases with a modest increase in funds," said UNICEF Executive Director Ann M. Veneman. "Of the more than 10 million children under five who die every year, an estimated 2.5 million are dying from diseases that can be prevented with currently available or new vaccines."

Spending on vaccines in the 72 poorest countries supported by GAVI doubled from US$ 2.50 per child in 2000 to more than US$ 5.00 per child in 2005. "We have brought substantial new resources to immunization and this has had a catalytic effect on spending. But millions of children still lack access to immunization and the most basic health care. This enormous gap must be addressed," said Dr Julian Lob-Levyt, Executive Secretary, GAVI Alliance. "Unprecedented new resources from the International Financing Facility for Immunization will allow us to achieve much more. Of the US$ 35 billion needed for the 72 poorest countries in the next decade, there is a US$ 10-15 billion funding shortfall if we are to achieve the goal of saving 10 million more lives."

The poorest countries currently finance, on average, one-third of their immunization expenses. Immunization is a global public good and until these countries are able to take on a greater proportion of their immunization expenses, it is in the interest of resource-rich countries to cover some of the long-term costs. In an interconnected global community, there is an increasing vulnerability to the spread of disease, making immunization even more critical.

In addition to providing protection to children from vaccine-preventable diseases, immunization programmes also serve as a platform to strengthen health systems and to deliver other life-saving interventions such as those against malnutrition, malaria and intestinal worms.

Maar daar staat helemaal niets over welke dingen men gaat prequalificeren. Er wordt over "AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases" gesproken en "immunization" dat is heel globaal.

Onder immunization valt ook Quinvaxem.
De G8 heeft denk ik niks van doen met het PQ process.

Maar goed, ik kan niet vinden waar dan wel iets staat over de zaken die men nu gaat beoordelen. Ik kan tot nu toe alleen maar afgaan op uitspraken van Crucell zelf hierover.

Heeft wel zojuist de strategie voor 2006-2015 bevestigd (dus ook geld ervoor vrijmaken).

Is meer een regionale prioriteit (oa. voor Azië).

Waar Klaar het over heeft is de Big3 waarover J.Kruimer het ook in de presentatie in Japan het over had.

Voor goedkeuring QV nieuws inderdaad aangewezen op PB's van Crucell.
