Bij Moderna vaccin 2,6 x meer anti bodies dan bij het Pfizer vaccin.
Mogelijke reden :
Possibly due to higher Moderna dose (100 mcg vs 30 mcg),
or
longer 4 vs 3 week interval between doses
Dit is te zien bij alle leeftijdsgroepen, de ouderen, middelbare leeftijd en jongeren onder de 35 jaar ( zie tweet 5) )
Bovendien is het risico op een break through infectie 2 keer zo laag bij het Moderna vaccin als bij Pfizer ( zie tweet 6) )

Before Delta, it’s been a wash.
But since July, when DeltaVariant showed up, it seems Moderna has beaten Pfizer on efficacy against breakthroughs in the Mayo Clinic study. (And no, I ( Eric Feigl Ding ) don’t own any Moderna or Pfizer stock that I know)

For example, some data shows AZ vaccines waning ( afnemen in effectiviteit ) less than Pfizer despite Pfizer having higher efficacy early on. Could be a tortoise (Zeeschildpad) and the hare( Konijn) situation too.
If we are giving boosters to immunocompromised, and possibly more people come sept 20, not sure what effect those have.
Also remember as we think may be the case with Astra Zeneca, slow & steady may win the race.
